Natural fiber yarn

We use only natural fibres like cotton, linen, and juet to make our fabrics and made-ups. The yarns are traditionally made using age-old spinning methods, and due to the nature of spinning, you may find unevennes in the yarn and fabrics.

Yarn dyeing

Most of our fabrics are yarn dyed. Our dyeing method is semi-mechanised and manual using VAT dye-stuffs. The expert dyeing masters make sure only the best quality dyes are stuffed and yoked in the process. They also ensure that nature is less harmed in the process of dyeing and processing of yarn and fabrics.

Weaving

Our fabrics are hand woven by skilled weavers and the fabrics are processed with minimal machinerie, placing them among the most eco-friendly fabrics available on the market. You may find minor weaving imperfections and unevenness in the fabric since it is hand woven. Imperfection is the beauty of handwoven fabrics!

Colour fastness

We make sure that all dyed lots pass through certain quality control and fastness testing processes before delivering them to the warping and weaving sections. The yarn dyeing process makes the dyestuff penitrate deep into the yarn hanks, giving them the best colour retention ratting. Our fabrics have a lightfastness of 4 or over on a scale of 1-5, and the fabrics are washable up to 60 °C; they should not fade as long as optical brighteners are not used in the detergents.

Shrinkage

Our fabrics are pre-shrunk up to 7% before the washing and finishing process. Typically, cotton will shrink up to 8%, since our fabrics are pre-shrunk, you can expect minimal further shrinkage of 1% to 3%.
